Oh, how I wish this was happening in Brisbane.
As first spotted popping up on my Insta news feed this afternoon, it turns out that Sydney is about to get its very own, authentic “French Christmas market”.
From 17-20 December, Sydneysiders will get to experience French Chalets, melted cheese stations, French crepes, French wines, mulled wines, Christmas carols, nutcrackers and apparently even snow falling at night (made by a snow machine, obviously).
Oof! Not jealous at all.
The French Christmas market is part of Sydney’s Bastille Festival, which is a free entry, French cultural celebration of food, wine, art.
It’s normally held in July (around Bastille Day) but had to be moved this year due to Covid.
So, enjoy a magical French Christmas, Sydney.
I’ll be with you in spirit.
x G.
