Hi, I’m Margaret or Gosia in Polish (pronounced Go-sh-ia).
Welcome to my blog, oh my gosia (OMG).
For how OMG came about click here.
A little about me?
I’m a journalist, editor, and digital content creator with a passion for storytelling.
My career in journalism began in 2016 when I was offered a position as deputy editor at Australian Triathlete magazine—a role I eagerly accepted.
Although the publication closed in 2018, it was an incredible experience that helped shape my path.
Before this, I freelanced as a features writer for Australian Triathlete and other publications while working as a clinical and sports dietitian.
I hold a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics/Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Science – Exercise Science), which I completed in 2005.
As a dietitian, I worked across clinical, community, and private settings, specializing in nutrition for endurance sports.
I collaborated with triathlon clubs and athletes, but my true passion has always been writing and communication.
So when the opportunity at Australian Triathlete came up, I made the leap and haven’t looked back since.
While I no longer practice as a dietitian, my background in health and nutrition continues to inform and enrich my writing.
After Australian Triathlete closed, I moved to Brisbane and joined Retail Media in 2019, where I now serve as managing editor of Retail Pharmacy and Retail Pharmacy Assistants magazines (currently on maternity leave).
In 2023, I completed a Master in Communications, majoring in journalism, from Deakin University.
Through my work, I hope to inspire, advocate, and educate.
I believe everyone has a story to tell, and this blog is my space to share mine—along with insights and experiences on motherhood, women’s empowerment, and more.
Thank you for joining me on this journey!
